Designed to support contemporary ways of working, the Radici Novacips offices combine functionality, wellbeing, and architectural clarity within a modern and carefully articulated workplace environment. The lighting design was developed to enhance these qualities, creating spaces that promote visual comfort, productivity, and a positive user experience throughout the working day.
The project adopts a holistic approach to workplace illumination, where light is used not only to meet functional requirements but also to contribute to the overall perception and quality of the interior environment. Particular attention was dedicated to achieving a balance between efficiency, comfort, and architectural integration, ensuring that each area responds appropriately to its specific use.
Workstations, circulation areas, and collaborative spaces are defined through a layered lighting strategy that combines ambient illumination with task-oriented lighting solutions. Uniform light distributions support concentration and visual performance, while carefully controlled luminance levels help reduce eye strain and improve overall workplace comfort.
The integration of direct and indirect lighting elements contributes to a balanced visual environment, enhancing spatial perception and creating a sense of openness throughout the offices. In communal areas, lighting plays an additional role in fostering interaction and wellbeing, supporting the creation of welcoming and flexible spaces that encourage collaboration and informal exchange.
High-quality light sources with excellent colour rendering characteristics were specified throughout the project to ensure accurate material perception and a consistent visual experience across different environments. The careful coordination between lighting, architecture, and interior design reinforces the identity of the workplace while maintaining a clean and contemporary aesthetic.
The result is a lighting scheme that supports both operational efficiency and employee wellbeing, demonstrating how thoughtful lighting design can contribute to the creation of healthier, more comfortable, and more engaging working environments.
