Located in Milan, this contemporary office project was conceived to provide a balanced, comfortable, and efficient working environment through the careful integration of architecture, interior design, and lighting. The lighting strategy was developed with a focus on visual wellbeing, spatial clarity, and seamless architectural integration, supporting the evolving needs of modern workplaces.
Light is used as a fundamental component of the workplace experience, contributing not only to functional performance but also to the overall perception of the space. The design aims to create a comfortable visual environment that promotes concentration, productivity, and everyday wellbeing while maintaining a clean and refined architectural language.
A suspended linear lighting system forms the backbone of the project, establishing a clear and consistent visual rhythm throughout the office. The combination of direct and indirect illumination provides balanced light distribution across workstations and circulation areas, ensuring optimal lighting conditions while reducing glare and visual fatigue.
Particular attention was dedicated to achieving uniform illumination levels and a high degree of visual comfort. The indirect component enhances the perception of space by softly illuminating ceilings and surrounding surfaces, while direct task lighting delivers the precision required for daily professional activities. This layered approach creates a bright yet comfortable environment that supports both focused work and collaborative interaction.
The integration of lighting within the architectural framework reinforces the minimalist character of the interiors, allowing technical performance and aesthetic restraint to coexist harmoniously. The resulting environment is contemporary, functional, and welcoming, where light contributes directly to the quality of the workspace and the wellbeing of its users.
The project demonstrates how thoughtful lighting design can enhance workplace performance while creating a visually coherent and human-centred environment, supporting both productivity and comfort through a refined balance of technology, efficiency, and architectural simplicity.
