Located in the heart of Naples, this contemporary technical office was conceived as a workspace where functionality, visual comfort, and architectural identity coexist in a carefully balanced environment. The lighting design was developed to enhance the spatial qualities of the interior while supporting the professional activities carried out within it.
Defined by exposed concrete surfaces, warm timber finishes, and generous glazed openings, the project presented an opportunity to use light as a tool for reinforcing materiality and spatial perception. The lighting strategy sought to complement the architectural language of the space, creating a visual environment that feels both efficient and welcoming.
A key feature of the project is the integration of suspended circular luminaires, which establish a strong architectural presence while providing uniform and comfortable illumination throughout the workspace. Their geometric form introduces rhythm and visual order within the open-plan environment, contributing to a distinctive identity without compromising the overall clarity of the design.
Particular attention was dedicated to achieving high levels of visual comfort and balanced luminance distribution. The combination of diffuse illumination and carefully controlled light levels supports concentration, reduces visual fatigue, and creates optimal conditions for both individual work and client-facing activities.
The interaction between natural daylight and artificial lighting was carefully considered to maintain consistency throughout the day, enhancing the perception of space and reinforcing the relationship between architecture and user experience. Light contributes not only to the functional performance of the office but also to the atmosphere, helping create an environment that feels professional, contemporary, and comfortable.
The result is a workspace where lighting operates as an integral architectural element, shaping perception, defining identity, and improving everyday wellbeing. Through a balance of technical performance, spatial sensitivity, and visual simplicity, the project demonstrates the transformative role of light in contemporary workplace design.
