Located in the heart of Genoa, the Amplifon store has been conceived as a welcoming and contemporary environment where comfort, trust, and innovation define the customer experience. The lighting design was developed to support these values, creating a balanced atmosphere that enhances both the architectural identity of the space and the quality of interaction within it.
Characterized by a clean and contemporary interior language, the project combines warm material finishes with carefully integrated brand elements, establishing an environment that feels both professional and approachable. Within this context, light plays a key role in shaping perception, supporting orientation, and contributing to a sense of visual comfort throughout the customer journey.
The lighting strategy is based on a combination of precise accent illumination and continuous architectural lighting, creating a clear visual hierarchy while maintaining a calm and coherent spatial experience. Consultation areas, display zones, and circulation spaces are articulated through carefully controlled light distributions that ensure clarity, comfort, and functional efficiency without generating unnecessary visual contrast.
Particular attention was dedicated to the quality of light and its impact on user wellbeing. High colour rendering sources were specified throughout the project to ensure an accurate perception of materials, finishes, and product displays, while uniform illumination levels contribute to a welcoming and reassuring atmosphere.
Integrated architectural lighting elements reinforce the geometry of the space and enhance its visual continuity, supporting a seamless relationship between architecture, branding, and functionality. The resulting environment is both refined and accessible, where lighting operates as a subtle yet essential component of the overall design.
The project demonstrates how a carefully considered lighting approach can elevate the retail experience, transforming light into a tool that supports comfort, orientation, and human interaction while strengthening the identity of the space.
