Elie Saab Milano

Milano / 2025

Located in the heart of Milan, Elie Saab Maison is defined by a lighting design approach conceived to enhance the dialogue between the building’s architectural heritage and the contemporary identity of the brand.

The lighting strategy is developed as a discreet yet fundamental layer of the spatial composition, carefully calibrated to reveal materials, textures, and volumes while preserving the integrity of the interiors. Integrated seamlessly within the architectural envelope, the lighting systems support the visual narrative of the space, allowing furnishings, decorative pieces, and the remarkable frescoed ceilings to retain their central role.

The project combines recessed and track-mounted solutions, selected to provide both formal restraint and maximum flexibility in the lighting composition. Particular attention was dedicated to the quality of light, with high colour rendering luminaires specified throughout to ensure an accurate perception of materials, fabrics, and finishes. A DALI-based control system enables precise modulation of light levels and scenes, supporting visual comfort and adapting the atmosphere to different experiential requirements.

Accent lighting is employed to articulate the living environments and enhance the Maison collections, creating a layered and immersive visual experience. The balance between diffuse and focused illumination contributes to an atmosphere that is intimate, elegant, and consistent with the refined aesthetic language of the brand.

The result is a project in which light operates not merely as a functional element, but as an architectural medium capable of shaping perception, reinforcing spatial identity, and elevating the overall experience through precision, restraint, and visual coherence.
